The Middle Fork of the Salmon is a world-class cutthroat and rainbow trout fishing stream due to its clear water and the lack of upstream dams. All fishing on the Middle Fork of the Salmon is catch and release with single, barbless hooks, due to the protection of this spectacular watershed. Fishing is possible on all of our trips, and we also offer special boats, guides, and trips for avid fishermen.
Special fly fishing boats on the Middle Fork
In response to guests' requests, we have introduced special fly fishing
boats with experienced ECHO fishing guides. These guides are familiar with the best fishing spots on the Middle Fork and often guide fishing trips throughout the world.
These boats can accomodate one or two guests and the guide, and will travel at a different pace than the rafters. You may leave camp earlier, carry your own lunch, and arrive in camp later.
Dates: Any of our six day trips (availability)
Price: $1495/boat
(This price is in addition to the regular per person trip price and can be used by one-two people for the entire trip or shared among a group with two people at a time riding in the fishing boat.)
Fall Fishing Trip
We are also offering a special four day fishing trip departing September 1, 2008 when fishing is at its best due to the water clarity and lower flow of the river. We will fly into the Flying B Ranch and fish our way through the most striking part of the Middle Fork, the Impassable Canyon.
Date: September 1, 2008 (4 day/3 night)
Price: $1595/person
