Here is a trip that offers the best of both worlds: running a Wild and Scenic River by day and experiencing the comforts of sleeping in a lodge at night. While we make our regular trips very comfortable, there are many who still prefer dinner at a table, a roof over their heads, showers, and a bed to sleep in.
We
travel the same 38 mile stretch of river that we do on our four-day
camping trips,
but because we don’t have to set up camp each night and take it
down every morning, we can do the trip comfortably in three days. The
lodges are rustic but pleasant and comfortable.
Our first night stay is at the Black Bar Lodge. The staff at the lodge will transport your bags to your room. There is ample time to go for a hike, play frisbee on the lawn, or take a nice nap. We will be served dinner as a group inside the lodge. It is a time to share stories about the day and to learn about the exciting rapids that we will encounter on day two.
Our second night will be spent at Paradise Lodge, a scenic lodge downriver from the famous Blossom Bar Rapid.
Again our bags will be transported to our rooms, and we will have an opportunity to explore one of the many activities the lodge has to offer including a driving range, many hiking trails, swimming holes, sauna and a wide variety of games. We will sit down to a hearty meal inside the lodge with our new friends.
On the last day of the trip we will wake up to breakfast and coffee before loading into our rafts and floating down to our take-out at Foster Bar.
