Famous Rogue Guide
Adam
trained as a river guide in 1998 while going to school at UC Davis where
he graduated in 2000 with a degree in business. He spent his first few
summers as a guide on the American River in California and started working
for us on the Rogue in 2003. When asked about why he likes the Rogue,
Adam says, "I love the majestic beauty, wild animals, and isolation
that southern Oregon has to offer."
When the Rogue season ends he loves to travel and run rivers in other countries. His favorite international rivers are the Zambezi in Africa, New Zealand's Kaituna River, and the Pacuare River in Costa Rica. Adam is always a little lost in the off season and keeps many different jobs to make ends meet while he's not on the water including bartending, substitute teaching, and construction.
Guests remember Adam for his genuine enthusiasm for the river and river lifestyle. If you are lucky enough to be on a trip with Adam as the head guide come prepared with your best stupid human tricks and jokes. You'll have a blast!
