Laurie Lews and Tom Rozum on a Rogue River trip with ECHOOver the years we have found few combinations that work as well as rafting by day and music by night, so each year we coax bluegrass musicians Laurie Lewis and Tom Rozum to join us on a river trip and fill the canyon with their lively bluegrass tunes.

Both are accomplished and talented musicians who share a love of nature with their passion for plucking strings. They were nominated for a Grammy award for their collection of duets in 1995 and have entertained audiences throughout the world for over 25 years.

For 2010, Laurie and Tom decided to return to the Rogue River for 4 days of river fun and 3 nights of bluegrass jam. As you can imagine, these trips have a loyal following and typically sell out quickly!

My friends and family think I've lost it....Can't stop relating little amazing details. AND absolute magic flowed from the confluence of the river and the masterful musicians - Tom Rozum and Laurie Lewis.

The Rogue River

Laurie and Tom love the Rogue for the excellent wildlife and the opportunity to brave the whitewater in inflatable kayaks. On this trip, we will spend 4 days rafting the wild and scenic Rogue River.

Laurie and Tom typically bring a guitar, mandolin and a fiddle for their own use and encourage guests to bring their “river instruments” (make sure you have a waterproof bag!) and join in the jam.

As always, ECHO guides provide all of the cooking and clean-up of sumptuous breakfasts, lunches and dinners. As our guests, you can kick back and enjoy the scenery, stars, whitewater, wildlife as well as the talent and spirit of two renowned bluegrass musicians.
