Hey guys! Is your outdoor activity limited to mowing the lawn? Do you crave the days of your youth spent skipping rocks, earning merit badges and sleeping in the open air, but your last few vacations involved spinning in Tea Cups? Perhaps it’s time to consider a Man-cation!
We know that men end up sacrificing a lot for their wives and kids, which sometimes includes vacation choices, so this August, ECHO will run a rafting trip designed just for men. The Middle Fork is America’s premier alpine, whitewater experience, which boasts awesome rapids, hot springs, and scenery that would make an Eagle Scout swoon.
We will spend 6 days on the Middle Fork of the Salmon River, which flows through the incredible Frank Church-River of No Return Wilderness Area. This is the largest wilderness in the lower 48 and a perfect place to forget about conference calls, morning commutes and taking out the trash. We will spend 5 nights camping riverside and regaining our sense of one-ness with the great outdoors. The fishing is spectacular on the Middle Fork, so be sure to bring your fly-fishing gear and try your hand at the cutthroat or rainbow trout.
As always, ECHO guides will prepare delicious meals (yes, there will be plenty of meat!) each evening to satisfy even the manliest appetites. In camp, we’ll have horseshoes, poker, beer and cigars to divert you around the campfire.
You will wake each morning to coffee and a hot breakfast before embarking on another great day of rafting this famous river. Join us this August to remind yourself how great you look with a beard!
