Bluegrass on the Middle Fork with Laurie Lewis and Tom RozumOver the years we have found few combinations that work as well together as music and whitewater rafting, so each year we offer a river trip with bluegrass musicians Laurie Lewis and Tom Rozum.

Laurie and Tom, both world renowned bluegrass musicians, love taking their music on the river as a special treat for our guests. By day you'll enjoy running the rapids of the Middle Fork and each evening in camp, you'll be treated to a bluegrass jam under the stars.

About every three years, Laurie and Tom join a trip on the Middle Fork of the Salmon and have an extremely loyal following. They enjoy the Middle Fork because it's a longer trip with great hiking.

They typically bring a guitar, mandolin and a fiddle for their own use, and guests are encouraged to bring their own instruments and play along.

As always, ECHO guides provide all of the cooking and clean-up of sumptuous breakfasts, lunches and dinners. As our guests, you can kick back and enjoy the scenery, stars, whitewater, wildlife and private concerts of two of the best bluegrass musicians around.
