The End of an EraIt is with mixed feelings we announce the sale of our Tuolumne River business. We have operated on the Tuolumne since the very beginning of our company 35 years ago. We have been involved in two colossal environmental battles to protect the river. Both fights centered around a series of elaborate dams that made no sense to anyone except dam builders. Sailing in Turkey
Before boarding he yacht we spend two nights and a full day in Istanbul, another full day touring Ephesus, and visit Didyama and it's amazing temple to Apollo, and Priene, where Alexander the Great had a summer home. Our September 19 trip is filled, but our September trip still has space on it. |

May Employee ProfileIt's no big secret that Sue Kingsbury runs ECHO. Dick and Joe have said for years that they would have to sell the company if she were to quit.
The job turned out to be much more interesting and challenging than she thought. She liked what we did, she enjoyed the office staff, she was intrigued by the guides, and very stimulated by the complexities of running wilderness river trips. So here we are, 18 years later, Her casual part-time job has morphed into the full-time office manager position that she still finds interesting and fun. Her daughters are out of college and married. She is still happily married too, but says that keeping Dick, Joe and Zach in line is "like having four husbands." We're glad she is here. ECHO in the NY TimesOur new and exciting duckie! trips were mentioned in the travel section of the NY Times last sunday. |
| We look forward to our next river trip together! Sincerely,
Dick Linford and Joe Daly, Owners ECHO River Trips We highly respect the privacy of your email and personal details. Please read our Privacy Policy for details. |
