Lodge Trips on the Rogue

(e-news special) Lodge trips on the Rogue are special because you can enjoy the beautiful canyon by day and sleep in a bed each night. This is the perfect trip for those of you that want to do an overnight river trip, but don't want to camp.

We will be running four lodge trips on the Rogue River in May. These are three day trips with two nights in wilderness lodges. Our e-News subscribers receive the discounted rate of $645/person if we receive your deposit in the month of January. Learn More about Lodge Trips on the Rogue

"Bluegrass on Whitewater"

Musicians Laurie Lewis and Tom Rozum join us on the Tuolumne each year to play their special music on the River. This season their trip will be three day extravaganza starting on July 31.

This trip always fills early, so give us a call soon if you are interested. Learn More about "Bluegrass on Whitewater"

Early Season Middle Fork

Late December storms have given us a great snowpack in the Sawtooth Mountains (headwaters of the Salmon River) and the weekend ahead promises more snow. Big water enthusiasts will enjoy our discounted June Middle Fork trips aimed towards kayakers, but open to everyone. Learn More about "June Kayaker Discounts"

January Guide Profile

Krista Findley began guiding on southeastern rivers including the Nantahala and the Nolichucky. She decided that she wanted to run multi-day trips and started guiding for us on the Rogue a few years ago. Now she guides on the Middle Fork where she fell in love with the canyon.

Last year she finished her Master's degree and teaching credential in Southern Mexico and now works as a 3rd grade teacher in Salt Lake City. Which is perfect because she'll be able to guide for us again this summer. Learn More about Krista

Water and Snow Report

December brought big storms to the western states that put the Salmon, Tuolumne, and Rogue watersheds above 100% for snowpack and water content.

The coast ranges of Northern California saw flooding and the Rogue River saw flows above 150,000 cfs. Normal summer flows are between 1,000 and 3,000 cfs. This is great news because these high flows revitalize and enlarge the sandy beaches we camp on.

We look forward to our next river trip together!

Sincerely,

Dick Linford and Joe Daly, Owners
