Spring Tuolumne Trips(e-news special) The Tuolumne Canyon is alive in April and May when the Sierra wildflowers are in abundance and the whitewater is exciting due to the early snowmelt. The California Poppy shown above is from a trip last spring. We are offering a weekend overnight trip on April 22-23
when we expect the conditions to be just right. Our e-News subscribers
can join this trip for just $295/person (normally $415). Learn

More about Hata Water and Snow ReportThings are looking great everywhere that we run rivers. The snowpack for the Tuolumne River is 123% of average, so we're expecting medium flows on the Tuolumne in April and the first half of May. From mid-May to mid-June, it looks like we could have some more of the exciting high water that we saw last year. Oregon is experiencing a snowpack well above average for 2006. A series of upstream dams on the Rogue keep the summer flows very stable, so this snowpack ensures that we have good water all season. The big news is that the snow pack for the Middle Fork drainage is now 147% of average. With this much snowpack, we expect to run the whole 100 miles of the Middle Fork on trips through July and into early August.
