April Overnight on the Tuolumne

(e-News special) We're excited about spending a night on the Tuolumne in April. Yosemite's large snowpack means that we'll have great flows and beautiful wildflowers.

This is an opportunity to see the Tuolumne at high water over a weekend an at just $295/person.

Chile's Futaleufu River

In January of 2007 we are putting together a trip to Chile's Futaleufu River. This is a ten day excursion to run a world class whitewater river known for its aqua-blue water and classic big water rapids.

We'll be staying at private wilderness camps as we journey down this remote river. There are many multi-sport activities along the way including rappelling, horseback riding, zip line river crossings, rock climbing, kayaking, and mountain biking. Learn More about our Futaleufu trip

April Guide Profile

Colleen Winters learned to guide on the Rogue River in 2000 after she finished college. She spent a few seasons on the Rogue before she fell in love with the rivers of Idaho.

These days, Colleen guides the Middle Fork of the Salmon all summer before she heads to Park City where she works as a ski patroller at Deer Valley. Colleen now lives the ultimate lifestyle: ski all winter and boat all summer. When we ask Colleen what she's going to do in the future, she replies, "more of the same." Learn More about Colleen

Snow Report

The snowpack is great on all of the rivers we run. We're looking at snowpack that is 130% of normal for the Middle Fork of the Salmon, 144% of normal for the Tuolumne, and 148% of normal for the Rogue.

This simply means that we'll have big water on the Middle Fork and Tuolumne well into June and great water all season. The Rogue will see great flows(but not high) all summer due to upstream dams.

We look forward to our next river trip together!

Sincerely,

Dick Linford and Joe Daly, Owners
